Gouging with carbonelectrodes and pressed air is the fastest and cheapest way to cut or gouge metal. A carbonelectrode is used to melt the metal where at the same time with pressed air the melted metal is blown away. Pressed air also cools the carbon electrode. Carbon electrodes can be used for gouging non- and low alloyed metals, stainless steel, cast iron and other metals. ESAB advises the gouging torch Flair 600, Flair 1600, or K4000. These can be made complete with a special welding cable with twisting connection of 350°, monocable. Several applications in cast-iron-, iron- and steelindustry, shipbuilding, metal construction or in maintenance workshops. The range OK Carbon offers the user maximum effectiveness in terms of processing metal by length per time unit.
