DESCRIPTION
All-position basic wire for thinner
plates (5-20mm). Alloyed with 0.8%Ni
for CVN toughness down to -50°C.
Provides a very fine droplet transfer in
the short-arc mode, both in CO2 and
Ar/CO2 gas. Even Ø1.6mm is excellent
for welding single-sided root runs without
backing in any position (100A), and
for positional filling and capping (160A).
For positions PA, PB and PC at currents
over 200A, Ar/CO2 is used to
obtain spray arc. Single-sided root
runs are now best deposited on ceramic
backing for optimal productivity.
It is an excellent wire for high quality
general construction, and for pipe
welding in the fixed position with wall
thickness >6mm (pipe Ø >150mm).
For positional welding of plates > 20mm
thickness PZ 6125 is recommended.
